The Shifting Bloom

You may know that the face of many flowers move throughout the day toward the sun. They feed off the rich nutrition from the sunlight wanting to get all they can. We can learn from these flowers. We too can shift our gaze throughout the day to face the Light of our life, God. Aligning our day and decisions to Him all throughout the day, gives us the spiritual nutrition we need to flourish and bloom at our peak.

In morning time, young blooms turn east

Yearning for a daily feast

In afternoon the blooms turn west

Tis nature's way to seek what’s best

~

For when they get their fill of sun

Their fullest day is surely done

They bloom so bright for all to see

A fragrant scent for you and me

~

And so it is with souls on earth

Looking 'round to find our worth

When looking to the Son of Man

We come to know His golden plan

~

And when we look for our own way

We come to see our feet are clay

And so we look to His great will

And find we have our truest fill.
